The Upstairs Lounge

Most of the guests at my store opening were too busy dancing to sit in the upstairs lounge. That being the case I thought I'd throw in a quick post with a photo.  You'll notice the giant origami deer decoration on the wall.  I picked that up on my last hunting trip to the the gatcha arcade.

 No deer were injured in the creating of this blog post.  The furniture set was supplied by [Circa] Living.  Thanks again, Cher!

[CIRCA] Living Christmas Advent Item

I was asked to be the guest designer for [CIRCA] Living while Cherelle Capra is away on holiday!  I'm selling a slightly modified version of the Echo earrings as the gift which isn't super creative but they're only $25L which is about an 80% discount or something ridiculous like that.  Here's the ad for the advent version of the earrings.  If you want them you'll need to go to Circa's main store and use her group tag.  There was a fee to join her group when I last checked.  The earrings will go on sale early next year for $125L so you've got options if you're interested in owning them.

As the Dust Settles

Well... I finished my first week with more than enough sales to pay the rent.  That's a great start and I'm having a lot of fun with my new baby store.  Now to keep it from drooling all over my suit!  Ok that makes no sense and I'm obviously too tired to blog so here are some random ad shots from the premiere release!

New Ads

I was using in world text which can't be moved which was not good.  Here's an example of the new ad style.  Things are going great and Digital Aura main store is up and ready.  Life is good.

I'm going to make my next release based on sales but also on note card requests that inspire me so let me know what you want to see happen!

In the beginning there was blog...

The shop is open! The official opening date is tomorrow but if you're reading this you are officially invited by me to come have a look.  I would honestly like to hear what you would like to see added to my offerings.  If there is something you want I would be honored to be the one to make it!
   Last night was a lot of fun with a small group of people coming by to check things out.  My first customer distinction goes to Ivy Maverick which is not a bad start at all!  My friend Alon was nice enough to come by and I was thrilled to see his wife Ivy took time out of her busy schedule to come too.  The DJ Sean aka Glassman74 was really good.  My good friend Bailey put me in touch with him and it was a great set.  As I mentioned before I would love to hear from you.  I really need your feedback if I'm going to be successful since it's making you happy that makes all this worth the time.  Send a note card to me and I'll keep doing my best for you.

Still working on ads here's a new work up on the Echo ad. I'll probably end up redoing it before the open.  It's a bit large on the bust so that'll need to be sized... Time for sleep. See you Sunday.

Ads Ads Ads

I spent all day running in circles getting ready to do the photos for my first release only to find out none of what I was doing was going to help me finish.  Once the lovely Cherelle Capra of [Circa] Living gave me some advice I was able to get back on track.  I managed to put a dent in workload but this week is still going to be a busy one.   Digital Aura will open a week from today on Sunday, December, 16th!  You are officially invited to come check it out.

Sculpture isn't something I normally do but my shop is opening in a couple weeks.   I'm running out of excuses to open.   With that in mind I made a sculpture.   I call it "Your Spirit can Break Free"  I was inspired by my desire to not open my shop.  Fear, hesitation, doubt... We aren't going to do that.  You and I my friend are moving forward and I'm glad you're reading this.   The new year is nearly here and we will step in to it and shine!  Break free with me and be alive!

Watching the Waves

I've been trying different texture tone combinations on the wood beads for this Maui necklace for nearly a week and I'm finally satisfied with how it looks.  I hand placed every piece again to give it a natural feel.  It's something I think the guys who enjoy the beach will want to add to their look and something I will be wearing for sure.  Post comments if there are variations you would like to see and I'll keep the ideas in mind while working on my future projects.

Worth Having

So this is my first ad but the item is possibly my best work so far.  Every prim was placed by hand. I built the clasp and every other detail one prim at a time over weeks   I'll add a shot of the back of the neck detail when I can.  This isn't for sale at the time of this post but it will be.  Let me know if you're a blogger and I'll give you a copy when it's for sale.

Pieces are Falling in Place

Hello future readers,  I'm muddling through this blogging thing hoping this post finds you well.  This is a shot of the back wall of Digital Aura.  If we're lucky these posts will get better and if I'm lucky you'll come back to read more.

   I'd like to document my shop's growth and give an honest portrayal of my efforts.  I think of this blog as not only my way to connect with my customers but other designers and models as well.  Wish me luck and welcome to Digital Aura!
